What We Do

Our Birthing Services

At Birthing Center Long Island, we offer a comprehensive range of services designed to support you throughout your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey. Our focus is on providing holistic, personalized care in a nurturing environment.

Home Birth

Experienced midwifery care for families choosing to welcome their baby at home. Our team provides prenatal care, attends labor and birth with the equipment and supplies needed, and continues care for mother and baby in the days and weeks that follow.

Planned Hospital Birth

Our midwives attend births at our affiliated hospital , allowing families to receive gentle midwifery care in a hospital setting. We bring our physiologic approach into the hospital supporting movement, upright positioning, birthing stools, and individualized birth preferences, with epidural pain relief and hospital specialists readily available if desired or needed.

Newborn Care

Our care continues after your baby arrives, with newborn assessment, feeding and breastfeeding support, recommended newborn screenings, and follow-up for your baby. Our team provides newborn care in the comfort of your home and can coordinate ongoing care with your own pediatrician or connect you with pediatricians we work closely with.

Water Birth

Water birth is available in our accredited birth center, a healthcare facility designed specifically to support physiologic birth. Each private birthing suite features a beautiful, spacious birth pool, offering warm water for comfort and movement during labor, with the option to welcome your baby in the water.

MIDWIFERY CARE

Our midwifery team provides care throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum, and attends births in all three settings—at home, in our accredited birth center, and at our affiliated hospital. Wherever you choose to give birth, our approach centers physiologic birth, individualized care, and supporting you in creating the birth experience you are seeking.

Doula Services

For families who want additional support through labor and birth, doula care offers continuous emotional and physical support alongside our clinical team. Doulas provide comfort measures, positioning, encouragement, and a familiar presence throughout labor.

Childbirth Education

Our childbirth education classes go beyond simply explaining what to expect. We help families understand how physiologic labor and birth unfold, explore movement, positioning and comfort techniques, prepare partners to provide meaningful support, and approach birth feeling informed, prepared, and confident.
